Providing Opportunity to Develop Leadership

Real Athletics Spring & Summer Official Update
Real Athletics has always had the best interests including health and safety of all players and parents that we serve.  We want to thank you for your continued patience and support as we navigate the situation we face with the Covid-19 virus and what this means for a spring/summer basketball season. We have been monitoring  the status of Covid-19 as it impacts our season on a day by day, hour by hour basis.  As we have all seen throughout the last six weeks we are in a place where things are constantly changing.  One thing we do know is this is going to be a unique season which will take everyone continuing to be patient and flexible as we look too still have a season.

Will there be a season?

1. Our plan is to start the season in May if we are able to.  IF we are not cleared to start the season we will look to start in June as we plan how June, July, and August will look like.  I feel that once approved to move forward with a season that we can provide a high quality experience for our players and parents.

2. We have a few dates set for tryouts in May as well as June if we are given the green light.  Possible tryout dates:

May: 11, 14, 17 6-8pm

June: 1,7,8 6-8pm

3. Right now we are still waiting to get updates from the Governor on next steps and how it looks for gym rentals and when it will be safe for all involved.  We are also monitoring the NCAA as they are starting to work on a plan for how everyone should move forward.

We are rooting for all people to defeat Covid-19 and return to life as we knew it before this pandemic. We want to once again take the time to say we appreciate everyone who continues to support Real Athletics.  We are all in this together.

Please continue to follow us on our website: as well as Twitter: @realathletics for all updates.

Our goal is to help each player make their winter teams, as well as develop his/hers leadership skills that they will need to use in every aspect of their life. We will have teams that will play local tournaments, as well as travel. Please reach out to Robert Ware at with any questions on this.
